Residents of Highlands East can also attend the following HHW events being held at the Faraday Public Works Yard at 29860 Highway 28 South (across from the intersection of Monck Road and Hwy. 28) from 9:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.

Be sure to bring your landfill disposal card with you to these events. Contact the Environmental Department at 613-339-2442 for more information.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is found in every home and includes batteries, cleaners, paints, motor oil, chemicals, grease, and fluorescent tubes.

If not disposed of safely and properly, HHW can be harmful to people, animals and our local environment. HHW must not be included in your household garbage, recycling or poured down the drain.
