Geocaching sites closed, touch-free Adventure Lab available

While all traditional geocaching sites in Highlands East have been closed as a COVID-19 safety measure, a touchless Adventure Lab is available that you can do with your smartphone to allow you to still have fun geocaching and see some sites throughout the municipality.

Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a family friendly outdoor game.  It's often referred to as “treasure hunting with a high tech twist” because you use the website and either a GPS device or a smartphone.

The Geocaching Capital of Canada website has all the information you need to learn about the game. GPS Rentals are available from the Visitor Information Centre and come preloaded so you can start playing right away.
