High Fire Rating in Effect

Due to the recent lack of rain, the fire rating in Highlands East has been moved to High.

Normal burning restrictions remain in place, with no daytime burning (between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.) allowed.

Please exercise extreme caution when burning and consider not burning out of an abundance of caution while under this elevated fire rating.

If you are burning at night, please take extra care and ensure you have adequate tools and enough water to contain the fire. Do not leave your fire unattended and always ensure your fire is fully extinguished before leaving it for the night.
