Free Brush Drop‑Off for Storm Debris Cleanup

With daytime burning regulations now in effect, the Municipality of Highlands East is offering free brush drop‑off to assist residents with storm debris cleanup from April 11 through May 31, 2026.

Locations accepting brush

This program is available to Highlands East residents only and is offered during regular operating hours at the following landfill sites from April 11 to May 31:

  • Highway 28 Landfill Site (Eel's Lake), 24607 Highway 28 South
  • Monmouth Landfill Site (Tory Hill), 19178 Highway 118 East
  • Bicroft Landfill Site (Cardiff), 22884 Highway 118
  • Mumford Road Landfill Site, 1365 Mumford Road

Important requirements

  • Brush must be 100 mm (4 inches) in diameter or less
  • Clean brush only
  • No stumps
  • No root balls
  • No mixed debris (soil, garbage, or construction materials)

Material that does not meet these requirements will not be accepted.
