Potential Mail Service Disruption

Canada Post has indicated the possibility of another service disruption regarding mail service.

In the event of a postal strike, residents are responsible for keeping their tax accounts up to date to avoid penalty and interest charges. To ensure this, residents can receive their property tax bills electronically by signing up for E-Billing. Please sign up no later then June 15th to meet the final tax billing production deadline. Residents may also contact the Municipality to request a copy of their tax bill in person by calling the Municipal Office at 705-448-2981 or emailing taxes@highlandseast.ca

Residents can make payments at a financial institution, use online or telephone banking, enroll into a preauthorized payment plan or utilize a third-party payment provider, Plastiq. Payments can also be made in person at the Municipality of Highlands East Municipal Office located at 2249 Loop Road, Wilberforce between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
