Full-Time General Equipment Operator Position Available
The Municipality of Highlands East is currently seeking a full-time, general equipment operator to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday in the Public Works Department with a $26.35 rate of pay.
Position Details
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating trucks and other heavy equipment in the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges in the Municipality’s road system. They will provide a variety of construction, snow/ice removal, maintenance and repair services to municipal roads and equipment.

Position Requirements
- 2 to 3 years experience in the operation of heavy equipment used by the Municipality;
- Grade 12 education, or equivalent;
- A valid AZ or DZ Driver’s License;
- Course work in welding would be considered an asset;
- Chainsaw license would be considered an asset.
