Notice of Fiber Optic Network Survey Activities
Cyient Canada Inc. has requested that the Municipality of Highlands East notify residents of work being done in our area on a new fiber optic internet network.
This is not a municipal project. Please direct all questions and concerns to the contacts listed in the public notice provided to us by Cyient, found below.
Dear resident,
Cyient Canada Inc., under contract to AZ3 on behalf of Bell Canada, is currently working in your community to support the deployment of a government-funded high-speed broadband internet program. This initiative will bring high speed internet services to rural areas using fiber optic cable.
As part of the planning and design process, you may notice Cyient vehicles displaying both Cyient and Bell logos, as well as field survey personnel wearing Cyient safety vests. Our team will collect data required for the design of the fiber optic network. This may include:
- Surveying public roadways and utility corridors.
- Door knocking on properties where existing Bell infrastructure is located for validation and upgrades.
- Door knocking on properties to get property owners approval for new installations, where required.
All activities will be carried out with respect to private property, and every effort will be made to avoid any damage or disruption.
Your cooperation and support are greatly appreciated as our teams complete the required engineering and design work. Timely completion of these activities will allow AZ3 and Bell Canada to begin construction sooner, helping bring high-speed fiber internet service to your doorstep as quickly as possible.
Should you have any questions or require additional information, please contact us at BellProject@AZ3.com or call 647-534-4368.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
M. J. Aziz
