Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 40 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, that there will be a 2026 Municipal Election in the Municipality of Highlands East for the offices of:

Other Details
- The 2026 Municipal and School Board Election will be conducted using Internet and Telephone Voting
- Voting Day is Monday October 26, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Advance Voting Period begins on October 16, 2026 at 9:00 am through to October 26, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.
- Voting proxies are not permitted.
- Voter Information Letters will be mailed to eligible voters starting the week of September 28, 2026. If you do not receive a Voter Information Letter by October 16, 2026, please contact the Election/Voting Help Centre.
- Additions and revisions to the Voters’ List can take place up to 8:00 p.m. on October 26, 2026.
- The Election/Voting Help Centre will be located at the Municipal Office from September 1 to September 30, 2026 during regular office hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. From October 1 to October 23 during regular office hours, you may attend the Lloyd Watson Centre, and on October 26, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. please attend the Lloyd Watson Centre for assistance.
