The Essonville Historic Church Christmas Service will take place this year on Sunday, December 17th, starting at 7:00PM at the Essonville Historic Church, 1284 Essonville Line.  Come early to get a seat for a time of carol singing with two featured soloists! A warm welcome awaits you.

The Highland East Vistor Information Centre is located at 2786 Essonville Line in Wilberforce (at the Curling Club) and is open daily, mid-May through Thanksgiving from 10:00AM through 4:00PM (closed Tuesdays) and offers mineral permission to collect forms and directions, geocaching information and GPS rentals, trails, events and other general area information.

Celebrate Canada Day 150 throughout Highlands East with a full day of celebrations at each town within the Municipality! From the Opening Ceremonies in Cardiff at 8:45AM to the evening Fireworks Grand Finale in Gooderham, each town has something to offer. Go to each location to earn ballots for prizes by completing historical quizzes and get your Passport (pick it up at the beginning of the day in Cardiff) stamped and you can win the 150 Prize at the end of the day!

Over 150 Prizes to be raffled at the Keith Tallman Memorial Area in Wilberforce on Saturday, July 15, 2016. Browse the tables and purchase tickets from 1PM to 3PM and 5:30PM to 8PM.

Plus, enjoy kids' games and activities, snack bar, face painting, exhibit tables and create your own hat at the Mad Hatter table before showing off your creation during the Hat Parade at 7:30PM.

Draw begins at 8PM – you must be there to collect your prize!

Plus, enjoy an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner fund raiser for the Curling Club served at the Lloyd Watson Memorial Centre in Wilberforce from 4:30PM to 7PM for just $10/adult and $5/child.

All proceeds of the Penny Raffle go towards recreation and fitness resources within our community!

Dale Case and the Benttree Bluegrass Band Live in Gooderham on July 15th

The Gooderham Bandstand Committee would like you to enjoy an afternoon of Dale Case and the Benttree Bluegrass Band live at the Robert McCausland Memorial Community Centre Bandstand.

Gate opens at 2PM; Band plays from 3PM to 5PM; Rain or Shine.

BBQ Hotdogs, Hamburgers and Soft drinks will be sold.
$10.00 per person; 12 and under free with adult supervision. Please bring your own chairs.

CBC's Still Standing Comes to Wilberforce

CBC's Still Standing is a Comedy/Reality Series that focuses on small towns and their struggles to stay alive. The show will be visiting Wilberforce over Mother's Day Weekend (May 11th through 15th) to interview locals, learn about our past and discover how we are, "Still Standing".

Host Jonny Harris will be doing a live taping of the wrap-up Stand Up Comedy Show at the Lloyd Watson Centre in Wilberforce on Monday, May 15th at 6:30PM. Admission is free and the doors open at 6:00PM. Ages 14+, this is a live taping with no intermissions.

Let's pack the hall and show Jonny why Wilberforce is Still Standing!
