Gooderham Music Festival

Details:

On Saturday August 3rd from 11:00AM to 9:00PM the Gooderham Community Action Group will be hosting it’s 2nd Music Festival to be held at the Gooderham Community Centre bandstand.

This is a free family event happening rain or shine. This year we have some tents for sun or rain coverage. Please bring your own chairs.

We have food, ice cream, baking available for purchase.

Seniors Fall Prevention Program

Haliburton Highlands Health Services is running a 12 week Falls Prevention Course, free for Older Adults and/or Adults with Disabilities on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 9th.

Sessions will take place from 1PM to 2PM at the Keith Tallman Memorial Arena and will provide education on falls-related topics and theory, develop basic skills for training for fall prevention, strength assessments to measure progress and gentle excerises for strength and balance.

The 12-week session runs from July 9th to September 26th

HHHS Community Support Services are holding a Social Recreation Drop-In Program at the Wilberforce Legion on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month from 10AM to 2PM.

Drop-in to this free gathering where you can do coffee and colouring, tech-time, board and card games, pool, cribbage and more. Plus, you can make projects like robotics, programming your tech devices, hand sewing projects, card making, button making and more! Or, just enjoy a great time chatting with friends over a cup of coffee.

Diner's Club

HHHS Community Support Services Diner's Club puts on lunch at a variety of restaurants throughout the county with a set menu and a fixed price.

Lunch begins with coffee and conversation at 11:30AM with seating for lunch at Noon. Enjoy a home cooked meal including dessert and beverage for $12.

Join us for an authentic country fair. Friday night events include children’s dog show, Lions Club food booth and pony pull. Saturday morning we kick off with a tractor parade at 10AM into the Fair grounds. Come with an appetite as the Lions Club will have their breakfast food booth open. The days events include horse drawn wagon rides, sheep shearing, pedal tractor pull, Gord Kidd and Friends on stage, pony rides, horse draw, petting zoo, frog show, nail driving competition, penny raffle, bouncy castles, and much more. Gates open at 6PM Friday and 9AM Saturday. Admission Friday night is FREE compliments of our sponsors Wilberforce Guardian Pharmacy and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 624. Red Cross Outpost Anniversary Celebration

HATVA ATV Ride Wilberforce Curling Club Fundraiser

When: Saturday, August 24, 2019
Where: Wilberforce Curling Club

Doors open at 9:00AM and the event runs all day!

Come out and enjoy over 90 kms of ATV Trails, a hot breakfast, dinner and a prize draw all in support of the Wilberforce Curling Clubs Youth and Community Curling Program. Price per ATV (driver included) is $65 and additional passengers is $25.

NOTE: HATVA Trail Pass is waived for the day of the event.
