Home renovation funds available, apply by May 11

The Kawartha-Haliburton Renovates provides a forgivable loan to a maximum of $20,000 for repairs such as roofs, plumbing, heating, foundations, wells, septic systems, etc.

A grant to a maximum of $5,000 is also available for modifications to reduce physical barriers such as ramps, handrails, chair and bath lifts, countertop height adjustments, etc.

The Kawartha-Haliburton Renovates Program is a program funded through the Ontario Priorities Housing Initiative (OPHI). The program is open to people in the City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton.

Deadline to apply is May 11, 2024

Applications will be reviewed on a priority basis based on income and the type of repair. Application forms for the 2024 funding year can be submitted until May 11, 2024.
