2022 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Dates

Multiple Household Hazardous Waste collections take place throughout the year at various locations across Haliburton County to allow people to dispose of items such as paint and oil that would not normally be allowed at landfills.

New for 2022: Highlands East residents may attend any of the Household Hazardous Waste Collection events held in Haliburton County.

August 20, 2022: Harcourt

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Harcourt Landfill Site located at 1123 Packard Road, Harcourt

September 10, 2022: Minden

7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre located at 55 Parkside Street, Minden

September 10, 2022: Dorset

1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Dorset Transfer Station located at 1087 Maple Ridge Drive, Dorset

September 17, 2022: West Guilford

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
West Guilford Landfill Site located at 11903 Highway 119, West Guilford

October 8, 2022: Algonquin Highlands

1:00 p.m.  to 5:00 p.m.
Maple Lake Landfill Site located at 1302 McPhail Road, Algonquin Highlands

October 15, 2022: Minden

7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

October 22, 2022: Tory Hill

10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tory Hill Landfill Site located at 19178 Highway 118 between Wilberforce and Tory Hill

Faraday Public Works Yard

Residents of Highlands East can also attend the following HHW events being held at the Faraday Public Works Yard at 29860 Highway 28 South (across from the intersection of Monck Road and Hwy. 28) from 9:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.
