The Municipality of Highlands East, as of the August 2, 2017 Regular Council Meeting, will be joining other Municipalities in the County in the use of CivicWeb, an online portal for managing Council Meetings and associated documents.

A Schedule of Meetings, Search Function and the option to Subscribe to E-Updates are available at the Haliburton County CivicWeb Homepage.

A list of documents including Agendas and Minutes for Highlands East's Council Meetings can be viewed at the Highlands East Document Centre.

Agendas and Minutes for Committees of Council will temporarily continue to be posted to highlandseast.ca during this transition period and archived Agendas, Minutes and related Council Meeting documents for meetings prior to August 2, 2017 will remain available for download on highlandseast.ca

Notice Regarding October Council Meeting

The council meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 has been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday, October 19th, 2015 at 9:00AM in the Council Chambers at 1101 Holmes Road in Wilberforce.

New Council Meeting Dates & Location

Council will be passing a procedural by-law at the January 26th council meeting changing the dates one which meetings are held from the second and fourth (optional) Tuesday to the second and fourth (optional) Monday.  if Monday falls on statutory holiday then the meeting will be held the following day (Tuesday).
 
Monday meetings will be held at the new library in Wilberforce – 1101 Holmes Road.

Notice regarding Council Meeting to address Procedural By-law

The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Highlands East will give consideration to a By-law to rescind the Municipality’s Procedural By-law No. 2009-16 and enact new Procedural By-law.  The Procedural By-law governs the proceedings of Council and its committees, the conduct of its members and the callings of meetings.

Consideration of the adoption of a by-law to rescind By-Law No. 2009-16 and enact a Procedural By-law will be given at the 2nd optional meeting of Council, which has been rescheduled to take place on Monday, January 26, 2015 in the Council Chambers at 2249 Loop Road in Wilberforce.
