Municipal Dog Pound meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday in January, April, July and October. Meetings take place at 10:00am in the Faraday Municipal Office located at 29860A Highway 28.

Tipping Fees for Waste Sites
The following fee structure and fees are applicable to only that waste which is disposed of at the waste site and which specifically excludes any materials, which are subject to a recycling or reuse program by the Municipality of Highlands East.
Building Material (Fees doubled for unsorted materials.)
1/2 ton pickup or car with trailer: $10.00
1/2 ton with trailer: $20.00
Single-axle: $50.00
Tandem: $75.00
Tri-axle: $125.00
Tires (Must be de-rimmed.)
Passenger & light truck: $3.00
Medium truck: $12.00
Oversize truck: $15.00
Tractor: $7.00 (front); $25.00 (rear)
Tires over 4' in diameter: $45

Emergency Response Plan
The Municipality of Highlands East Emergency Management Committee developed this Emergency Response Plan. Every official, municipal department and agency must be prepared to carry out assigned responsibilities in an emergency. The response plan has been prepared to provide key officials, agencies and departments of the Municipality of Highlands East with important emergency response information related to:
- Arrangements, services and equipment; and
- Roles and responsibilities during an emergency.
In addition, it is important that residents, businesses and interested visitors be aware of its provisions. Copies of the Municipality of Highlands East Emergency Response Plan may be viewed at the main Municipal Office and Sub Offices and can be downloaded below.

About Municipal Roads Services
For snow plowing call 705-448-2934 (24 hr).
Sweeping of Municipal roads is subject to availability of equipment, dust control (calcium chloride) is applied on or around the first week of June.
For any other roads related inquiries please contact Road Superintendent.
