Public meeting regarding changes to Official Plan to be held October 4, 2011
A meeting to inform the public of a proposed Official Plan Amendment to update the current Official Plan will be held on October 4, 2011.
This public meeting is being held in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act to provide members of the community with an opportunity to provide comments on the draft Official Plan Amendment directly to Council. This public meeting follows a series of prior public open houses on the Official Plan Update and Review, the most recent of which was held on Friday, June 17th, and Saturday June 18th, 2011.

February Council Meeting to be held on February 15, 2011
The regular council meeting scheduled for February 8, 2011 has been changed to February 15, 2011.
During this meeting Council proposes to pass a by-law that will impose fees for services that the municipality provides to the public.

Special Meeting of Council to be held January 17, 2011
There will be a special meeting of Council held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 9:00am in the Council Chambers at 2249 Loop Road, Wilberforce.
The meeting will be closed to the public (under Section 239 (2) of the Municipal Act) to discuss CUPE 4416 contract negotiations and proposed acquisition of land for municipal purposes - Road Department.
Council Inauguration Ceremony to be held December 14, 2010
The Corporation of the Municipality of Highlands East extends an invitation to all residents of Highlands East to attend an Inaugural Ceremony to welcome their new Council members.
Ceremony with take place on December 14, 2010 at 11:00am at the Lloyd Watson Centre, 2249 Loop Rd., Wilberforce.
Stay and enjoy a light luncheon at 12:00 noon at the Lloyd Watson Centre in Wilberforce. The regular council meeting will commence after the luncheon.
